Respite/Community Habilitation Programs
CARES Respite Staff will care for your child in your home or at our site based setting in the community, during the week, on weekends, or on school holidays.

Day Habilitation Program
Our program supports recent graduates and adults seeking to enhance their independence and community integration.

CARES Children's Health Home Program
A Children's Health Home provides case management (similar to service coordination) for children and families whose children have an emotional health issue, a developmental delay, chronic medical conditions, and/or experience complex trauma.

Behavioral Health Services
The CARES Behavioral Health Clinic is licensed to provide services for children, adults and families. If you are struggling with mental health concerns, you don’t have to navigate these difficult situations alone. Counseling and support groups are available for children, adolescents, and adults.

Developmental Disabilities Clinical Services
The CARES licensed clinic for children, adolescents and adults provides a vast array of clinical services for children and adults with Autism, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, their parents and family members.

Comprehensive Clinical Evaluations
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations are administered by licensed psychologists and/or supervised clinicians with extensive training.

Family Reimbursement Programs
Family Reimbursement funds are to be considered a last resort. Other sources of support, i.e., Medicare/ Medicaid, insurance, food stamps, Public Assistance, SSI, SSA etc., should be considered first before applying for family reimbursement funds.

Prevocational Training
Recent High School Graduates can enhance their independence and develop employment opportunities in areas of their personal choice for job readiness.

Community Assistance Resource and Extended Services Inc.
CARES Staff will assist you and your child to receive appropriate supports and services as your child grows and develops, throughout your child's lifetime. CARES Team can help with your concerns raising your child, developing new skills, guide you through the guardianship process and more. CARES Therapy Team includes psychologists, social workers, behavior analysts and direct care staff. As your team, we develop and implement a custom plan with you to meet the unique needs of your child and family!

Behavioral Health Services
The CARES Behavioral Health Clinic is licensed to provide services for children, adults and families. If you are struggling with mental health concerns, you don’t have to navigate these difficult situations alone. Counseling and support groups are available for children, adolescents, and adults. Services can address the challenges of anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD, trauma, marital issues and other family concerns. The CARES multilingual professional team consists of licensed psychologists and social workers experienced treating children, adults and families.

Comprehensive Clinical Evaluations
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations are administered by licensed psychologists, social workers and supervised clinicians with extensive training diagnosing children and adults with known, or suspected, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities and /or Mental Health conditions. Psychological testing is essential to provide accurate diagnoses and to plan appropriate courses of treatment for children, adults and their families. This assessment is required to determine eligibility and gain access to a wide range of available services for children and their families.

The CARES licensed clinic for children, adolescents and adults provides a vast array of clinical services for children and adults with Autism, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, their parents and family members.

Respite
CARES Respite program is designed to reduce stress on parents and caregivers. CARES Staff will care for your child in your home, in the community or at our site based settings, during the week, on weekends, or on school holidays.

Community Habilitation Program
Children and adults are supported by CARES staff in their homes and in the community to increase their independence, learn Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), enhance access to the community, increase communication and social skills. Services are offered individually and in groups throughout the year.

CARES Children Health Home Program
A Children's Health Home provides case management (similar to service coordination) for children and families whose children have an emotional health issue, a developmental delay, chronic medical conditions, and/or experience complex trauma.
Services for eligible children and their families can include a very wide array of individualized HCBS services including respite, community habilitation, prevocational skills, supported employment, advocacy and family support services.
Supportive Clinical Services can also be provided at home, in the community and/or school depending on the individual needs of a child and family by licensed professionals.

Prevocational Training
Recent High School Graduates can enhance their independence and develop employment opportunities in areas of their personal choice for job readiness. Instruction and support is provided in the pre-prerequisite and ongoing skills needed to access employment.

About Us
CARES mission is to:
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to improve the lives and independence of children and adults and their families with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, including Autism and/or Behavioral Health issues, mental health concerns, across the lifespan from birth through adulthood.
- To conduct ongoing research to evaluate the efficacy of intervention methods and inform best practice with data driven results.
- To help families, in particular, from underserved multilingual communities obtain information resources and services.
- To train community members and professionals to effectively support individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities including Autism, Behavioral Health concerns and/or Mental Health issues.
